Yacht charter – 8 most frequently asked questions by our clients

Continuous conversations with customers and the inquiries we receive have allowed us to create a list of frequently asked questions. We are in a hurry with the answers so that you are as well prepared as possible for your yacht charter!

1. What license is acceptable in Croatian waters?

In Croatian waters, at least a sailing license for a Yacht Naval Steersman and a VHF license (for operating radio devices) is required.

2. What months are the best for a yacht charter?

The best weather is from late April until the last weeks of October.

3. What is included in the charter price?

Each charter company offers different packages. We offer the following in the yacht charter price: basic berth, tender, outboard engine, towels, bed linen, WiFi and Netflix.

4. What is covered?

Each client buys insurance individually. We advise you to take out deposit insurance and accident insurance.

5. Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, if it’s a bareboat. However, the amount of the deposit is nothing else than the franchise’s own contribution.

6. Is there a grocery store in the marina?

Yes, and it is located even a short distance, i.e. 700 meters. At this point, it is worth returning to one of our blog entries, in which we describe the most interesting marinas in Croatia (click here).

7. How much in advance do I have to book a place in the marinas?

It is best to do this in April, if, for example, you already have a confirmed charter date. However, if you make your decision in May or later, you should hurry up with the reservation of seats.

8. What do I have to pay extra for?

In addition to the standard charter price, you need to add the transit log costs. The cost is 250 € and is payable at the marina. Additional costs are also fees for fuel, marinas and food.
